On September 21st, at 13.00 hrs, in Sofia metro station "Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski" Ambassador Karel van Kesteren, Bulgaria's Minister of Justice Margarita Popova and Sofia Mayor Jordanka Fandakova opened an exhibition of 15 posters to celebrate 15 years of MATRA cooperation between the Netherlands and Bulgaria.

The exposition, portraying selected cooperation projects in all spheres of life, both governmental and non-governmental, is organised to highlight Bulgarian-Dutch partnership in Europe. Since 1995, the MATRA program has supported activities in Bulgaria in such diverse sectors as transport, environment, culture, justice, home affairs and social inclusion of marginalised groups. Now MATRA is phasing out in Bulgaria, but Bulgarian-Dutch partnership remains.
Global Initiative on Psychiatry's project for Piloting Community Mental Health Services in a Bulgarian Setting fell among the specially selected 15 successful examples of collaboration.
His Excellency Karel van Kesteren personally congratulated GIP's representatives.
