The Ukrainian-language Samopomoch program
The Ukrainian-language Samopomoch program
Starting the day after the invasion, we developed a Ukrainian-language psychological self-help program “Samopomich”, similar to the Russian-language one. This program also consists of a website, www.samopomi.ch, as well as social media news channels on Facebook, Instagram and Telegram. The website provides the same information as the Russian-language one (See above).
Additionally, we developed a specific free-of-charge program for First Line Responders. Two groups of consultants were trained (a special 30-hour training carried out by our specialists from Ila State University in Tbilisi, a condensed version of their 2-year MSc program). Most of the current clients are journalists and mental health professionals.
In 2022 the website acquired almost 300,000 active users, while our news channel on Facebook had more than 60 million views.
The program is managed by a team of eight persons: a project manager, program supervisors and trainers (2), a database manager, a case manager, a website manager, and an editor and her assistant. In addition, we now have a team of twelve counselors working for Samopomoch.
